The 5" Frit Color Swirl Hand Pipe is a borosilicate spoon wrapped in diagonal bands of frit color that twist the full length of the pipe, head included. It's an everyday dry herb pipe with a lot of personality.
Remember the swirl lollipops at the county fair? That's the look here. Bands of frit color twist around this pipe like a barber pole, starting at the bowl and spiraling all the way to the mouthpiece.
Each band is a different frit color laid over clear glass, so light still comes through between the stripes. We put it in the shop because it's cheerful, it's a solid 5 inch daily size, and nobody mistakes it for anyone else's pipe.
The twist covers everything. The stripes don't stop at the neck. They wrap the head and the bowl too, so the whole pipe reads as one design.
Frit, not paint. Each stripe is crushed colored glass fused onto the surface. Cleaning can't wear it away.
Light between the bands. Clear gaps between the frit stripes let some light in, so you can still get a peek at the inside.
Red twists bright red with lavender and a little green (the loudest swirl we carry).
Orange mixes orange with teal and lime for a tropical look.
Blue pairs deep cobalt with pale peach and soft sky blue (the calmest of the four).
Teal & Green wraps teal, lime green and a touch of blush pink, the freshest palette in the set.
Each pipe is hand-worked, so the stripe width and the twist vary a little from one to the next.

This is a 5 inch borosilicate glass spoon pipe wrapped in a twisting swirl of frit color bands from the bowl to the mouthpiece. Like most spoons, it pairs a built-in bowl with a side carb. You can choose Red, Orange, Blue or Teal & Green. It's made for dry herb.
Our go-to method: pack the bowl lightly with ground flower, put your thumb on the carb, light the edge, and draw. Lift off the carb as the pull ends so the smoke clears out.
Pro Tip: Twist the pipe slowly in your fingers as you light. The stripes give you a visual guide, so you can light one band's worth of the bowl at a time and save the rest for the next round.
Bright-side people: You like your gear fun, loud and easy to find.
Shared households: Four swirls means four people, four pipes, zero mix-ups.
New smokers: A 5 inch spoon with a carb is a forgiving first pipe.
Worth Noting: The frit stripes have a slight texture, so resin can cling to them inside the pipe. We'd plan on cleaning a little more often than you would a smooth clear spoon.
We drop ours in a zip bag with 91% isopropyl alcohol and coarse salt, shake, soak for a bit, and rinse with warm water. A pipe cleaner through the stem gets the last of it.
Warning: Don't clean it hot. Let the pipe cool completely first, because a sudden temperature change can crack glass. Keep it out of the dishwasher.
We'd suggest a grinder for even packs, some cleaning supplies to keep the stripes bright, more glass pipes in other styles, and our travel-friendly picks for days out.
