Clear glass gets overlooked next to all the heavy frit out there. Then you hold this one up to a window and the color dots look like they're floating inside it.

The pipe is built in three sections: a dotted bowl head, a dotted middle bulb and a dotted round mouthpiece. Stacks of raised maria rings sit between them, so the whole thing reads like a string of beads. We added it because it's a cheerful little pipe that feels good to hold and stays easy to keep clean.

What Sets the Color Dots Maria Apart

Three color blocks. Each section gets its own dot color, so one pipe carries three. Line up the three options and they look like a candy shop shelf.

Triple maria grip. The ring stacks give your fingers a ribbed hold and keep the pipe from rolling off the table.

Clear base. You can see right through the body, which makes it obvious when it's time for a soak (no guessing).

Round mouthpiece. The last bulb doubles as the mouthpiece, giving your lips a wider, smoother rest than a plain tube end.

Colors and Options

Blue, Yellow & Red runs blue dots on the bowl head, yellow on the middle bulb and red on the mouthpiece. It's the primary-color version (and the one we reach for first).

Green, Amber & Red pairs a green-dotted head with an amber middle and a red mouthpiece, a warmer mix.

Teal, Amber & Green uses deep teal, amber and green dots across the three sections for the calmest look of the three.

Each pipe is hand-worked, so dot size and spacing vary a little from piece to piece.

The 4.5" Color Dots Maria Hand Pipe is a 4.5 inch clear borosilicate glass pipe with color dots on three sections: the bowl head, a middle bulb and a round mouthpiece. Raised maria rings sit between the sections. It has a built-in bowl and a carb, comes in three dot color sets, and is made for dry herb.

How to Use It

Hold the pipe with your fingers on the maria rings behind the head. Pack the bowl loosely (a pinch is plenty), cover the carb, light the top of the bowl and draw through the round mouthpiece. Release the carb at the end to clear the chamber.

Pro Tip: Because the glass is clear, you can watch the smoke fill the middle bulb. Stop pulling once it's full and clear it in one breath for a cleaner-tasting hit.

Who It's For

The clear glass fan: You like seeing what's happening inside your pipe, and you like knowing when it's clean.

The fidgeter: The ribbed rings give your thumb something to roll over between hits. Ask us how we know.

The cheerful gifter: Three bright color sets make an easy present for a friend who's into bright, playful glass.

Worth Noting: The bowl in a 4.5 inch pipe is on the small side. It's built for a few hits per pack, not a full evening.

Care and Cleaning

We tap out ash after every session. For a deeper clean, seal it in a bag with 91% isopropyl alcohol and coarse salt, give it a good shake, then rinse with warm water. The bulbs can trap a little salt, so rinse until the water runs through freely.

Warning: Wait for the glass to cool completely before any water touches it. Hot glass can crack under cold water, and the maria rings hold heat a little longer than the thin sections. No dishwasher.

Common Questions

What does triple maria mean?
Triple maria means the neck has stacked raised glass rings between the colored sections. On this pipe they sit between the bowl head, the middle bulb and the mouthpiece bulb. They give your fingers a ribbed grip and break the pipe into three clean color blocks.
Which color sets can I order?
You can order Blue, Yellow & Red, Green, Amber & Red, or Teal, Amber & Green. Each name lists the three dot colors on the pipe's three sections. The glass underneath is clear on all of them, so the dots look like they're floating when light hits the pipe.
Is the clear glass easy to keep clean?
Clear glass shows resin sooner than frit or color, which makes it easier to know when to clean. A quick soak in 91% isopropyl alcohol and coarse salt brings it back to clear. We'd rinse it every week or so with daily use to keep the dots looking bright.
Are the color dots raised or smooth?
The dots are colored glass melted into the clear body, so they sit nearly flush. You may feel a slight texture over the bulbs, but nothing sharp or loose. They won't wear off with handling, and isopropyl alcohol doesn't affect them at all.
How big is the color dots pipe?
This pipe is 4.5 inches long from the bowl to the mouthpiece. That makes it pocket friendly while still leaving room for a small bowl head and two dotted bulbs. It's sized for one person and a few hits per pack, a solid daily piece.
What's the round bulb at the end for?
The rounded bulb at the end is the mouthpiece. It gives your lips a smooth, full surface instead of a narrow tube tip. The bulb also adds a little extra space for smoke to slow down before it reaches you, which makes the pull feel gentler.
Can I set it down without it rolling?
The maria rings help keep the pipe from rolling far on a flat table. The bulbs are round, so it won't sit perfectly still on a slope. We'd still keep it on a tray or in a stand between bowls, since any glass pipe can crack if it rolls off an edge.
