How to use it
Hold it by the Maria, not by the head, and it will never catch you out. Seat it with a quarter turn, pack, and lift straight out when you clear. The collar gives you a consistent place to grab in the dark, which matters more than it sounds like it should.

What is a Maria ring?
It is the flat glass collar that wraps around the neck of the bowl. Blowers have used the shape for generations, and it does two jobs here. It stops your fingers sliding up toward the hot head, and it gives the 2.5" body a defined place to grip when you pull the slide.
Which colors can I get?
Red, Orange, Blue, Green and Black. All five share the same 14mm female joint and the same 2.5" length, so the choice is purely appearance. We hold ten of each, which is why the color menu on this listing tends to stay complete rather than dropping to one option.
Does it come with a screen?
No, this bowl ships on its own with no screen fitted. If your flower is ground fine you will want one, because an open hole lets ash pull straight through into your water. We sell screens separately and they cost very little compared to cleaning a chamber more often.
Is 2.5" too long for a small pipe?
The bowl measures 2.5" overall, which is slightly longer than a basic slide. On a small pipe that extra reach is usually welcome, though on a very short neck it can look oversized. Fitment is unaffected either way, since the joint is a standard 14mm female.
Will the spiral wear off?
No, the spiral is colored glass fused into the body while the piece is hot. There is no coating, paint or sticker involved, so scrubbing and alcohol will not touch it. The bowl may darken inside with use, but the outside pattern will look the same in a year.
Can I use this on a dab rig?
Only for flower, not for concentrates. A rig with a 14mm female fitting will accept it physically, but a flower bowl is not built for torch heat. If you want to smoke flower out of a rig occasionally, this works. For concentrates you need a proper banger or nail.
How do I stop it getting stuck in the joint?
Keep both surfaces clean and never force it in. Residue at the joint is what welds a bowl in place. A light twist while seating is enough, and if it ever sticks, a few minutes of warm water around the outside of the joint usually frees it without any prying.
Care and maintenance
Give it a soak in isopropyl once the airway darkens, then rinse under warm water and run a pipe cleaner through the hole. Standing it upright to dry stops water pooling in the head. Doing this weekly is easier than doing it once a season.
Warning: Do not pry a stuck bowl out with anything hard, and do not twist it while the head is still hot. Both are reliable ways to snap the neck right at the Maria, which is the narrowest point on the piece.
