An ash catcher adds an extra filtration stage between your bowl and your bong. It catches ash, debris, and particulate before any of it enters your main water chamber. The result: cleaner bong water, smoother hits, and far less frequent deep cleaning on your primary piece.
Our ash catchers come in 14mm and 18mm joint sizes, in both 45-degree and 90-degree angles, and with various percolator styles including showerhead, tree, and inline designs. Dry ash catchers use no water and add minimal drag, which is ideal if your bong already has strong built-in percolation. Wet ash catchers with their own percolator add another layer of water filtration for smoother, cooler hits.
Match the joint size, gender, and angle to your bong. If your bong has a 14mm female joint at 45 degrees, you need a 14mm male ash catcher at 45 degrees. Getting this wrong means a wobbly fit that can tip and break. Weight is another factor: a heavy ash catcher on a thin-necked bong can cause balance issues. If your bong is lightweight, go with a simple dry catcher or a small wet design.

Absolutely. An ash catcher keeps your main bong water clean for days instead of hours. It also adds filtration that smooths out every hit. If you hate cleaning your bong, an ash catcher is one of the best investments you can make.
You can, but most dabbers prefer a reclaim catcher instead. Reclaim catchers collect unvaporized concentrate (reclaim) that would otherwise coat the inside of your rig. For flower bongs, an ash catcher is the better choice. For dab rigs, look at reclaim catchers in our dab accessories collection.
