Slick® Pad

The Slick® Pad is Oil Slick’s original nonstick silicone work surface, built for extractors, dabbers, and anyone who’s constantly fighting sticky concentrates. It gives you a clean, defined zone for handling rosin, hash, reclaim, or tools without gluing everything to your table. At 12.0 inches × 8.5 inches (30.5 cm × 21.6 cm), it’s literally sheet-of-paper size, so it slides into almost any setup without taking over your whole desk.

Think of it as a reusable, heat-resistant “mood mat” for your workspace — wide enough for a rig, tools, and jars, but compact enough for small labs, coffee tables, and travel kits.

Why it works

  • Save every last dab — The truly nonstick silicone surface lets concentrates, reclaim, and residue lift right off instead of getting smeared into your table or paper.
  • Keep your station under control — The 12.0 inch × 8.5 inch (30.5 cm × 21.6 cm) footprint creates a clear “work zone” so tools, jars, and rigs stay contained instead of roaming all over the coffee table.
  • Built for real lab use — Made from medical-grade silicone that can handle typical dabbing and processing temps without warping, peeling, or getting weird.
  • Reusable instead of disposable — Wipe it down, rinse it off, and it’s back in rotation instead of throwing away paper or foil after every press or sesh.
  • Scales with your operation — Available as a single pad or bulk packs (2-pack, box of 12, case of 48), so you can outfit a home dab station or a full processing bench.
  • Protects glass and furniture — Silicone cushions your rigs and jars, so they’re less likely to slide, chip, or leave ring marks on your table.

Best for

The Slick® Pad is made for dabbers and extractors who live with sticky gear on their tables — rigs, tools, jars, and parchment everywhere. If you’re already running a dedicated station with a rig and a dab pad or mat, this gives you that same protection and control in a compact, lab-friendly rectangle.

It also hits the sweet spot for processors who need a designated landing pad when moving material between press plates, tools, and parchment paper, without dedicating a giant tray for every step.

How to use it

Drop the Slick® Pad wherever you’re working with concentrates — next to your rig, under your tool stand, or on the bench where you handle jars and parchment. The silicone grips the surface just enough to stay put, while the top stays smooth and nonstick so sticky things don’t bond to it.

Set your tools, caps, and any hot glass straight on the pad instead of the bare table. If you’re pressing or portioning rosin, you can stage parchment, tools, and filled concentrate jars right on the pad to keep any drips or smears contained. It basically becomes your cleanup zone, so the mess never escapes.

Because it’s flexible silicone, you can gently flex the pad to encourage stubborn bits of reclaim to lift, then move them where you want them. When you’re done, roll or stack it with your other storage and packaging gear so it’s always ready for the next run.

Fit & setup notes

The 12.0 inch × 8.5 inch (30.5 cm × 21.6 cm) footprint is roughly the same as a standard sheet of printer paper, so it fits on most desks, shelves, and coffee tables without hanging over the edge. There’s enough space for a compact rig or silicone bong or rig, a couple of jars, and tools, but it’s still easy to stash in a drawer when you’re done.

Cleaning & care

Let the pad cool completely if you’ve had hot glass or fresh concentrates on it, then wipe off any residue with a cloth or paper towel. For a deeper refresh, soak it briefly in isopropyl alcohol, rinse with water, and dry fully before putting it back into service.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Is the Slick® Pad big enough for my full setup?
For most people, yes. At 12.0 inches × 8.5 inches (30.5 cm × 21.6 cm), it’s ideal for a small to mid-size rig, a couple tools, and a jar or two. If you’re running multiple rigs or a full processing table, grabbing a box or case lets you line up several pads into one long work area.
  • Can I put hot bangers or nails directly on it?
The medical-grade silicone is built to handle typical dabbing temps, so having a warm banger, nail, or tool rest on the pad during normal use is fine. Just avoid intentionally overheating any one spot for long periods, and always let everything cool before you bend or flex the pad.
  • Will concentrates actually not stick to it?
They’ll still be sticky, but they won’t bond into the surface the way they do with paper, wood, or glass. You’ll notice you can lift reclaim and residue off the Slick® Pad way easier, which is why a lot of people use it as a landing zone while they’re working with nonstick PTFE sheets and liners.
  • How does this compare to disposable parchment or foil?
Parchment is great for lining and pressing, but it tears and gets tossed after a few uses. A Slick® Pad is a reusable base layer — something you keep under your work, day in and day out, so spills and stray dabs never touch your actual table. Many people use both together: parchment for wrapping or pressing, pad for the workspace.
  • Is medical-grade silicone safe for this kind of use?
Yes. Oil Slick uses medical-grade silicone formulated for labs and serious home setups, so you’re not dealing with flaky coatings or mystery fillers. It’s the same philosophy we use across our lab-focused gear, from pads to bulk PTFE and FEP rolls.
  • Will the pad slide around on my table?
The bottom has the natural grip of silicone, so on most smooth surfaces it stays planted. On super dusty or textured tables, giving the underside a quick wipe makes it grab a little better. Once it’s down, it does a good job keeping glass from skating across the surface.
  • How long will one Slick® Pad last?
With normal use and occasional cleaning, a Slick® Pad can be part of your daily driver setup for a long time. There’s no coating to wear off, and the silicone won’t flake or peel when you wipe or soak it. A lot of people end up grabbing extra pads for different rigs, or throw an extra into their dab accessories and travel kit so they always have a clean work surface on the go.
