These are opaque black child-resistant pop top tubes sized for one king size cone. They are built for pre-roll brands, packaging buyers, and anyone who needs a sealed single-unit container that a child cannot open easily.
The usual problem with single-unit packaging is that you end up choosing between something that seals and something that is child resistant. Screw-top vials seal well and a toddler can open them. Cheap flip-tops lock but pop apart in a bag and leave you picking cones off the floor of a delivery car.
We stock these because they are the tube our own packaging customers kept asking us to carry after they saw them in someone else's order. They are not a novelty item. They are the plain black workhorse that pre-roll brands buy by the case, and we priced them to be bought that way.
What sets these apart is the lid geometry. The hinge is molded into the tube body, so the lid cannot separate and get lost, and the squeeze-to-open action is deliberate enough to be child resistant without being annoying for an adult with dry hands (a real complaint about some competing tubes).
The lid does not come off. The hinge is part of the molding, not a snap-on cap. That removes the single most common failure in tube packaging, which is a cap that separates in transit and leaves the contents loose.
Solid black, not tinted. The polypropylene is pigmented through the wall, so light does not reach the contents at all. Tinted or translucent tubes let UV through and let anyone see what is inside. Neither happens here.
Sized to the cone, not rounded up. 109mm of usable interior is a deliberate fit for a king size cone. Tubes that are too long let the cone rattle and break at the tip.
The surface takes a label. Matte polypropylene holds adhesive and shrink film without bubbling, which matters if you are the one applying 500 labels on a Sunday.
Bulk pricing that actually steps down. Per-tube cost drops at 250, 500, and 1000 count. Small brands can start at 100 and move up without changing where they buy.

The 116mm pop top tube is 116mm tall overall (4.57 inches) with 109mm of usable interior, a 20mm opening, and a 19mm outside diameter. It is molded from BPA-free polypropylene in opaque black with a child-resistant hinged lid. It fits one king size cone up to 109mm and does not fit cones of 120mm or longer. A 100 count pack ships at about 1.5 lb. Rinse with warm water and air dry to reuse. Orders ship in 1 to 2 business days from Washington.
Pre-roll brands use them as the retail unit. A wraparound label, a shrink band at the lid, done. Most of our repeat volume on this item is brands buying 500 or 1000 at a time and running them through a labeler.
Dispensary and shop buyers keep a case behind the counter for repackaging singles. The child-resistant lid is often the reason they can sell a single unit at all.
Event and sample handouts are the other big one. A tube is sturdier than a bag, and it survives a pocket for a day without crushing.
Everyone else uses them for the things a small sealed tube is good for: drill bits, beads, seeds, matches, fishing tackle, cotton swabs, small hardware. We hear about all of these (the fishing tackle one comes up more than you would think).
Pro Tip: If you are labeling a large run, warm the tubes to room temperature first. Polypropylene straight off a cold delivery truck will fight the adhesive for the first hour, and you will blame the labels.
Small brands running their own packaging: Start at 100 to test your label sizing, then move to 500 or 1000 once the artwork is settled. You are buying from the same stock either way, so the tubes will match across runs.
Shops repackaging singles: The child-resistant closure is the compliance piece. The opaque wall is the merchandising piece.
High-volume packagers: The 1000 count is bulk-bagged in one carton, which is the cheapest way we can ship them and the easiest to feed into a bench setup.
Anyone who needs a small sealed tube: No context required. It is a good tube.
These tubes are molded from BPA-free polypropylene, the same food-contact plastic used for prescription vials. Polypropylene resists moisture and does not absorb odors the way softer plastics do (which is why we chose it over PET). The black resin is solid through the wall, not a coating that can scratch off.
Each tube is 116mm tall overall with 109mm of usable interior depth and a 20mm opening. That fits one standard king size cone with room to spare. A 98mm or 110mm cone also fits comfortably. Anything longer than 109mm will not seat under the lid.
Squeeze the two flat sides of the tube just below the cap and the hinged lid pops open. Press it back down until it clicks to close. The lid is molded to the tube body (so there is no separate cap to lose), and the squeeze-to-open motion is what makes it child resistant.
The snap-fit lid seals against the rim to keep moisture out and odor in. We would call it airtight for everyday carry and storage, not vacuum sealed. For long-term storage of anything moisture-sensitive, pair a tube with a small humidity pack inside.
Yes. The surface is smooth matte polypropylene, which takes adhesive labels and heat-shrink bands cleanly without bubbling. Most customers running retail packaging use a 1.5 inch by 3 inch wraparound label. Test one tube first if you are using an unusual adhesive.
We stock these in 100, 250, 500, and 1000 count packs, and the per-tube price drops at each step up. The 1000 count ships as bulk-bagged tubes in a single carton (not individually wrapped). Choose the pack size from the dropdown above.
Orders leave our Washington warehouse in one to two business days, with tracking emailed as soon as the box goes out. Free shipping applies to US orders over 50 dollars. Returns are accepted within 30 days on unused tubes in the original packaging, no restocking fee.
Rinse with warm water and mild dish soap, then stand them open-end down and let them air dry completely before refilling. Polypropylene does not hold odor, so a rinse is usually enough. Skip the dishwasher: the heat can warp the hinge and the lid will stop clicking shut.
Warning: Child-resistant packaging is not childproof. Keep filled tubes out of reach of children and pets regardless of the closure. Follow all local laws for whatever you store inside. Do not use these tubes for hot liquids or anything above 200F.
Discreet shipping in plain packaging. 30-day returns on unused items. Card payments processed securely; we never store your card details.
